PERSONAL HISTORY (early formal sales training): Ted Leventhal has a thirty (32) year history in the Electronic Security Industry and a fifteen year history serving manufacturers of the industry with professional level marketing services from direct sales to marketing strategy and implementation. This has included aid in developing dealer training programs as well as participating in the presentation of dealer training. Marktek is often the territory our Principals use to test their new programs. A demonstration of Marktek's ability to work adapt to new situations and environments. As president of the PA Regional Automatic Fire Alarm Association and a present board member the knowledge gleaned and the relationships developed have helped Ted place itself as one of the leading system representation firms. Ted Leventhal has been the featured speaker at a number of association meetings and is respected as a source of knowledge to the Life Safety/Security Industry. Ted started in sales and marketing with Burroughs Corporation in late 1968 as a young sales trainee. Burroughs, now Unisys, was a Fortune 100 Company and one of the leading manufacturers of main frame computer systems in the world. The company roots run back to the adding machine, mechanical and electronic bookkeeping machines. What is most important is Burroughs was recognized as the best company in the computer industry for the training of sales personnel. Ted received extensive, formal sales, management and technical, training with one running over 12 weeks at a Burroughs training facility. With over an eight (8) year career with Burroughs Ted advanced from an adding machine salesman to a large systems mainframe computer sales person and group manager. Few in the security industry have this full knowledge and understanding of the sales and marketing process.

Below are some highlights of Ted's marketing and sales career:
President, Lorsco Security Systems, Inc., Trenton, NJ (1977 to 1991) Owner/Operator UL Listed company involved in sales, design, installation, and servicing of electronic security systems. Oversaw all aspects of daily operation. Developed market and demographic study, and decided what products to promote. Worked through design, plan review and final approval with inspectors and facility management for electronic security and mandated fire alarm systems. Direct sales in the UL listed commercial security market. Developed advertising and promotions. This company was started as a totally new business. Developed the company into one of three leading independent security alarms companies in Mercer County New Jersey. Negotiated sale of company to Supreme Security in 1991, one of the SDM 50 top alarm security companies in the country.
President, Marktek, Inc., Bensalem, PA (1992-1995) Established this company from an initial vision of economic and industry developments. Managed direct sales and marketing strategy in Mid-Atlantic area. Direct sales responsibility working with dealer network. Coordinated marketing efforts with other rep firms to sub-represent one major line. Introduced new small market share manufacturers to the pipeline. Participated in program development and design to formulate final sales program. Brought product sales revenue to over $ 2 million per year. Grew major fire equipment manufacturer 300% in one year. Brought unknown and unrecognized security product with minimal sales to a recognized market status. Presented and helped design and implement major modification of manufacturers' marketing plan and strategy.
President, Marktek, Inc., Bensalem, Pa. (1997 to Present) Withdrew from merger with Titus Management Group in February 1997 to return to systems and fire oriented representation, the original direction of Marktek, Inc. Marktek has forged close operational associations as part of its diversification and growth plan.
EDUCATION: Associate Degree Accounting from the University of Scranton, secured evenings while working full time. Extensive formal sales, management and technical, training schools run by Burroughs, now Unisys at corporate training facilities.

Ted and Sue are married for 40 years. Sue is a career Registered Nurse. They have two children Lori Beth and Scott. Lori Beth is married to Ed Levin. They have two daughters Ari and Madyn Reese. Scott is married to his wife Jenn, formerly Weiss. They also have a daughter Ryan. The group is proudly pictured to the left.
